Terry Fearns
Forward
Full Name: Terry Fearns Height  Unknown,   Weight   Unknown
Born: Liverpool 24.10.1977
Debut: 14.08.2004 v. VAUXHALL MOTORS (h)
Career:  Wigan Athletic, Marine, St. Helen's Town, Vauxhall Motors

Born in Liverpool on 24 October 1977, Terry will never be forgotten by all Southport fans. Terry scored 33 league goals and eight in cup competitions in the never to be forgotten 2004/05 season. The top three Terry goals? It is very hard to choose but, the fourth at Hucknall in the 4-2 win in 2004/05, his only one from outside the box was a cracker, his second at Worksop when he beat half the team and then decided to do it again and his record breaking goal at home to Hucknall, a fairly simple header but it meant so much to us all as it finally made sure we had an outright record goalscorer and debates about own goals could be put to one side. Terry’s profile read: An exciting summer 04 signing that signalled Southport's goal scoring intent. With 111 goals in three seasons at Vauxhall Motors Terry had become noted as one of the most prolific current non league strikers. Previous clubs include Wigan, Marine and St Helens. Terry proved a quality finisher with all but one of his club goalscoring record thirty three goals for The Port being scored from inside the box. Gets caught offside quite a bit but by looking to take advantage of the “benefit of the doubt” rule Terry scored many goals from one on ones. Became the first Southport player to score 20 League goals in a season since Steve Haw in the 92/3 season and is another who has outright legend status at Haig Ave! Left Southport in October 2005 to join up with Droylsden scoring on his debut for The Bloods and won the fans player of the year award for the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons. The debate about whether Terry could make it in The Conference rages on, he only made five starts for us and had four sub appearances but failed to find the net. Droylsden gave him thirty starts and he notched eight Conference goals. Whatever your opinion is, his glory season was 2004/05 and for that all Southport fans remain eternally grateful. Terry has signed for AFC Telford for the 2008/09 season.
