With the make up of the 2023/2024 National League North now confirmed (subject to ratification at the National League AGM in June), here is the record for Southport Football Club vs each of their opponents.

A more detailed record against any of these clubs can be found here:
- Alfreton Town
- Banbury United
- Blyth Spartans
- Boston United
- Brackley Town
- Buxton
- Chester
- Chorley
- Curzon Ashton
- Darlington
- Farsley Celtic
- Gloucester City
- Hereford
- King’s Lynn Town
- Peterborough Sports
- Scarborough Athletic
- Scunthorpe United
- South Shields
- Spennymoor Town
- Tamworth
- Warrington Town
It will be the first time that Southport face Bishop’s Stortford and Rushall Olympic in any fixture, and it will be the first time that Southport face Warrington Town in a League fixture.
Tamworth return to the league after a 5 year absence, and it will be the first time (for both clubs) that Southport meet Scunthorpe United in Non-League football. The last League encounter was back in 1978, Southport’s last season in the Football League. The two clubs have met once in the years since, in the FA Cup in 1986.
We go even further back for a League meeting with South Shields, which once again came with both sides members of the Football League in 1930. However the original club folded in 1974 therefore arguments can be made that it is not the same club.
