Player Profile: Paul Jones

As a youth player he had spells at Manchester City and Stockport County, before going on to be full time professional with the latter. He then went on to play at a high level in the Non-League System at the likes of Stalybridge Celtic, Chorley and Southport amongst others. More recently Paul has worked in the academy systems of Leeds United, Glasgow Rangers and Norwich City.

After he finished playing he had a spell as National Team manager for the Isle of Man FA during which he led the national side to notable victories over Wolves u23 and Brentford ‘B’. Paul’s reign as Island manager culminated with a Third Place in the 2019 Island Games tournament in Yyns Mon.

Jones was a director at FC Isle of Man until he recently stepped down from his boardroom role to take over as manager of the first team.
