Campbell returns from Southport Central

Liverpool Echo, 25-10-1916

There is a good stock of chat this morning and space being “tight,” I must simply note the news and its consequences, and not comment freely. The best news of the morning is that Kenneth Campbell is reappearing in the Liverpool goal. For a month or more now he has been helping Southport Central, and showing excellent form, and his return to the Liverpool goal will be heartily welcomed, for he is a most likeable fellow as well as a top-hole goalkeeper, and Liverpool has always appreciated his worth. His successor, Ted Taylor, is likely to play some games for Fulham. He leaves Liverpool to-morrow, and has our best wishes.
